Writer's Block

I have to admit something. When I was reminded that I was to provide today’s article, I struggled. Normally, I have no problem taking some idea and developing it. I read, think, pray (a lot), and, somehow, the message makes its way onto the page. That just didn’t happen this time. Writer’s block is a real thing! Maybe I’m just too ambitious sometimes.
In the same way, “Faith block” is a real thing. It’s that feeling of a pause in our spiritual growth, a feeling of something lacking in our relationship with God. So, let me give some words of encouragement.
First, you are not alone. God is always there. He has loved you from eternity. He loved you enough to send His Son. He loves you enough to be patient with you. This phase is only temporary.
Second, you are not alone. Look to your left and to your right, in front and behind. Everyone you see has gone through or is going through the same thing. It’s only temporary.
Third, remember who you are. You are loved. You are God’s precious possession. Even if you don’t feel precious, it is still the way God sees you. And that will never change.
Fourth, remember who you are… and act the part. You are salt in a bland and tasteless world. You are light in a dark and forbidding place. And how do you show this light and give this salt?
“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8).

Give that cup of water to the thirsty, help those who need help. Not to gain anything; just because it’s the right thing to do. Study; pray; listen.
Finally, remember this. God, himself, knew these feelings of weakness and lack would come. So, Paul wrote this:
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” - 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
