Limits

Limits are set by rules or by ourselves. Boundaries are often set before us to keep us safe; hence the need for regulations. However, those are very few in the big scheme of things. They don’t keep you from being a bodybuilder, a triathlon runner, the best co-worker, or an owner of a business or company. You do. You keep yourself from such achievements.
At some point, everyone who has accomplished anything through pure determination and willpower has experienced the same thing. They all know that success comes down to one simple task. This task is not about how big we make the cost or how little we think of ourselves. This task, in unwillingness to quit, is putting one foot in front of the other. At some point, the final step is made, and the goal is reached in a bittersweet conclusion. Because of this, we say things like, “You have to fall in love with the journey, or you will never reach the goal.” Those limits, the mental limits we put on ourselves, and the lies we believe keep us from courageously moving forward.
I get it. It’s hard to do things when you are unsure of the outcome. We limit ourselves either by over-exaggerating the personal cost required or by underestimating our ability to achieve the goals before us. But there is more to life than what you can see. When you limit yourself to your eyesight or mindset, you will miss some of the greatest blessings in Christ. Do you know that we don’t know what Heaven is like? Yet, we live for it every day. If we can do that, what is stopping you from doing more for Him? Your self-made limits. Stop limiting yourself in Christ. You will be shocked by what happens next!
