“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”
Romans 8:5-6
Our minds can be such a place of confusion. It can seem as if we are lost in a wild jungle of a far-off land full of pitfalls and dangers all around. It can seem as if we are in a storm surrounded by darkness, where everything is just happening by chance, and we have no control. Yet, the mind is more than just some jungle, tornado, or darkness. The mind is not some wild beast set to roam the empty spaces of thoughts and dreams that we are simply subject to. It is just the opposite.

It is a well-oiled machine. It has the capability to do things that we cannot even get a computer to do. It can be programmed, wiped, and programmed again. It can hold onto things and then use them at the most pivotal and essential moments for our success. Your mind is one of the most magnificent tools ever created. It is a plow horse meant to be harnessed and set to work. However, that power must have a master. Without an operator, it is just as we have previously described.
Oh, and you don’t need an exceptional trainer or master to work your mind. No, no! All you need is you. Yes, you can tame that chaotic beast that has put your thoughts and life in such disarray. It is your mind, you are the only one who can harness it. We must take control of our minds to be successful in Him. What rambles around in there directly affects what your body does out here. Therefore, you must harness it to be successful in Christ.
If your mind is full of fleshly chaos, so is your life. If your mind is full of Godly order, so is your life. What is your mind and life like? Who is in control of your mind? Are you or is it your flesh?
