I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the LORD,
which made heaven and earth.

Congratulations Lads and Leaderettes!

Photo
Maysville is proud of its young people. Most of them are challenging themselves to improve their knowledge, skill, and application of God's word. Our Lads To Leaders program is hopefully a catalyst to help our kids grow in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Developing their talents for God now is going to assist God's kingdom in the years to come. I personally want to thank the elders, parents, and coaches who have supported the efforts financially, physically, and spiritually. Many made sacrifices of various kinds, shared your talents, and gave of yourselves in your own way in order to build up our youth. You know who you are and God will reward you accordingly for your efforts.

It takes many people sharing the load to make possible a successful venture. The trip to the convention in Nashville involved about 140 of us and with team effort, things went rather well. I'll not be able to name all that helped without leaving some out. The tasks varied from arranging snacks, loading and unloading, judging, attending events to listen and support, setting up puppet stages, organizing final details before competition, transportation, speaking an encouraging word and more.

I pray that we can look at this past year and acknowledge some improvement and yet embrace the challenges to strive for greater heights. Let's encourage each other, and especially our young people, to be a brighter shining light for the gospel in the coming year.
